What you'd do
This position is located at: Aquatics - Fort Hood, Texas. Our Aquatics Program offers safe, family-friendly indoor and outdoor pools with year-round recreation and instruction for Soldiers, families, and authorized patrons. This is an open continuous announcement. All qualified applicants will be forwarded to management on a weekly or as needed basis. This announcement was modified on 05/05/2026 to change the Bargaining Unit Status to 'No'
Major duties
Acts as water safety instructor. Manages all swimming lessons and instructs when scheduled, at the assigned aquatics facility. Develops swim program according to students' ability and promotes students to higher level swimming according to their skills. Teach students from age groups of infants through adults. Instructs all levels of swimming and appropriate strokes, to include front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly. Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students, when appropriate to level of instruction Responsible for money handling and maintaining internal control practice as cashier.
What you need to qualify

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience related to the duties to be performed and possession of the following certificates: Water Safety Instructor Certification Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) First Aid Certification Certificates issue by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable. Certificates MUST be uploaded at time of application to qualify.
