About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Courses at Joint Base Andrews, MD. Provides player control at the starting tees, on fairways and greens of golf course. This is a flexible position with no benefits.

Major duties

Provides player control at the starting tees, on fairways and greens of golf course. Controls proper and fair order of play from starting tees either by posted tee times or on a first-come, first-served basis. Checks player authorization of play. Blocks tees for scheduled tournament play. Monitors the supply of serviceable gas golf carts to ensure that an adequate number are available for patron use. Washes carts daily. Operates motorized ball-picker, retrieves balls from driving range, refills and clears ball dispensing machine. Polices area around clubhouse. May drive a government vehicle in performance of official duties. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be amiable and able to get along with people. Must possess maturity, poise, diplomacy and tact. Incumbent must have a current motor vehicle operator's permit. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner and provide a copy of his/her driving record. A practical knowledge of recreational activities are desirable, however, no experience is required. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
