About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency at Martin Army Community Hospital within the Department of Mental Health located at Fort Benning, Georgia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. Major duties

Serve as a Clinical Psychologist within the Mental Health Department at a Medical Treatment Facility. Make mental health diagnoses in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders 5-TR. Oversee, administer and interpret psychological testing. Conduct individual and group short-term therapy sessions. Maintain timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health): Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to the full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting psycho-diagnostic assessments, providing crisis interventions, psychotherapy, and/or psychological testing/assessment for an adult population. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
