What you'd do
This position is located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Program. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. This job announcement is an open/ continuous announcement intended to fill multiple vacancies as they come available. Major duties
Serves as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. Responsible for lifeguarding guests in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. Provides maximum pool area surveillance and responds to emergencies; rescues pool patrons and administers first aid as required. Assists in maintaining pool and area clean and free from any hazards. Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to qualify

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Possesses and maintains the following certifications: 1. Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS) 2. American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED) 3. Administration certification - American Red Cross; Oxygen Administration or installation offered training (certification is required within 30 days of hire)
