What you'd do

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Domestic DIB, MRTFB Direct Hire Authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major duties

You will read, interpret and analyze engineering specifications to evaluate and understand the repair processes including machining, machining, plating, finishing. You will interpret tolerances and constraints to accurately determine asset/equipment best qualified to perform defined operation. You will develop, schedule, coordinate, and manage numerous engineering tasks and resources simultaneously, analyzing manufacturing routings, assessing equipment capacity. You will assign appropriate assets to ensure efficient workflow and avoid production bottlenecks. You will apply knowledge of manufacturing operations to assess and mitigate manufacturing and design risks related to costs, time, and quality constraints, continuously analyzing maintenance data and operational reports. You will develop innovative solutions that resolve emerging deficiencies in equipment, aircraft components, and engines. You will identify and critically evaluate complex operational problems, weigh the relevance and accuracy of data, generate alternative perspectives. You will make timely engineering recommendations that balance efficiency improvements with stakeholder interests. You will clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and technical issues before a wide range of audiences. You will convey written and oral information in a clear, organized, and convincing manner to collaborate actively with leadership, team members, and customers.

What you need to qualify

In addition to MEETING THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Tracking and tackling numerous projects simultaneously; Working in teams and with customers to successfully complete projects; AND Providing updates and progress systematically through written and oral communication. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, and Industrial, Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
