About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital Psychology Services. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This position is a TERM position NTE 2 years. It is time-limited and may be extended up to maximum of eight years, may become permanent if applicable.

Major duties

Provide psychological and clinical consultation services to other professional and paraprofessionals. Select, administer, score and interpret psychological tests. Plan, organize and assign work and monitor accuracy of performed work for military and civilian personnel. Formulate diagnostic impressions, treatment plans and recommendations utilizing test data and psycho-diagnostic interviews. Provide individual, couple, family and/or group counseling utilizing a variety of treatment modalities.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirements for Supervisory Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below: Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: providing psychological counseling, assessing patients to determine an appropriate diagnosis, developing treatment plans, and instructing others in proper therapeutic techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Licensure Requirement: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
