This National Guard position is for a TITLE 32 UNIT PROGRAM COORDINATOR (MI 127th FSS), Position Description Number NGD3021000 and is part of the MI 127 Wing, Michigan Air National Guard. Major duties
***THIS IS A TITLE 32 NATIONAL GUARD POISITION THAT REQUIRES MILITARY MEMBERSHIP*** This position is located in the Air National Guard (ANG) Wing Force Support Squadron or subordinate unit and supports the Commander's Support Staff (CSS) and Orderly Room (CCQ) operations at the Squadron. The incumbent is subordinate to and assists the lead CSS in managing daily administrative and unit-level support, executes assigned programs in line with the Personnel Services Delivery Guide (PSDG), and supports training of personnel to maintain mission readiness and compliance with Air Force policies. 1. Assist Personnel Management Activities: Supports the administration of military personnel management programs including requesting personnel actions such as promotions, evaluations, awards, and leave. Provides customer service and guidance on organizational personnel policies and procedures. 2. Coordinates Human Resources and Administrative Support: Assists commanders, supervisors, and employees in understanding personnel policies and procedures. Collects, compiles, and organizes data for reports and briefings. 3. Supports Specialized Functional Areas and Program Execution: Assists higher graded specialists in areas critical to unit operations, ensuring adherence to Air Force policies. 4. Responsibilities may include: Administration: Supports preparation and dissemination of personnel documents and orders using automated systems. Provides basic training and guidance on Defense Travel System (DTS) processes and supports official mail and government purchase card activities. Personnel: Assists with processing and managing personnel records, evaluations, and official correspondence. Provides routine policy information and customer support. Helps ensure personnel data integrity and compliance with directives. Unit Deployment Management: Supports deployment readiness by maintaining deployment documentation and coordinating with relevant personnel offices. Assists in tracking deployment status and supports redeployment processing. Training: Assists in planning and coordinating unit training events, ensuring documentation and schedules meet requirements. Program Management**: Supports administration of special programs such as Government Purchase Card, Defense Travel System, Unit Drug Demand Reduction, Security, and Unit Recognition. Monitors compliance and provides routine advisory support. 4. Provides Liaison and Customer Service Support: Serves as a point of contact for unit personnel and leadership regarding personnel management and administrative support. Assists in resolving routine personnel issues by coordinating with the Force Support Squadron and other agencies. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently at a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply; however, they must administratively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmation of the reduction to HRO. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
