Major duties
You will lead strategic planning to determine goals, objectives, direction, and priorities of assigned organization, program, and/or project to meet mission critical requirements You will direct the development of tests and advisories on new technologies, methods, approaches, and guides for assigned organization, program, or project You will serve as a recognized subject matter expert in the development and interpretation of technical policies and guidelines. You will make expert level decisions and initiates actions that involve the interpretation of policy or the setting of precedents, sometimes significantly changing, interpreting, or developing important policies. You will work closely with outside agencies, contractors, and headquarter personnel to develop requirements and programs for cognizant systems and areas of responsibility. You will serve as advisor in the development and interpretation of policies and guidelines which may result in substantial redirection of Federal efforts or policy related to major national issues. You will analyze and dragonize failures for determination of cause; developing recommendations for corrective action; and development/implementation of closed loop systems to ensure system effectiveness and integrity are maintained.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and operational stakeholders to analyze and evaluate Strategic Weapons Systems activation and use modernization programs to identify efficiencies and recommend improvements to cost, schedule, or performance to align with mission requirements.
