What you'd do

This position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D0889000 and is part of the NJ USPFO, National Guard. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the military grade listed in this announcement.

Major duties

As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-7, you will perform the following duties and responsibilities: Identifying and resolving customer complaints. Notifying supervisor of persistent violations of standard procedures. Analyzing customer complaints for trends or evidence of systemic problems. Serving as the point of contact for customers with supply and service problems. Following up to ensure issues have been resolved to the satisfaction of the customers and supervisor. Making regular contact and visits with other organizations to gather information and resolve supply problems. Recommending corrective action and/or advising the Supply System Analyst of problems requiring in depth systematic analysis. Providing input to supervisors and program managers to correct procedural problems on automation and improve overall operations.

What you need to qualify

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Do you have the General education, experience or knowledge of the following? Involving supply actions and deciding the course of action to take. Using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Do you have 12 months of Specialized education, experience or knowledge of the following? Governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions. Conducting extensive searches for required information. Reconstructing records for complex supply transactions. Providing supply operations support for activities. Performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures.
