Major duties
Serves as a senior strategic generalist and executes responsibility for the operations of a designated portfolio of subordinate distribution centers. Directs operations across multiple distribution centers enable critical modernization efforts, monitor resource allocations, and support the development of overarching process and procedural changes. Exercises administrative and technical supervision across multiple installations, establishing long-range performance objectives, aligning workforce capabilities with mission demands. Ensures optimized usage of facilities, data, operating systems, and advanced technology. Develops and enforces rigorous performance metrics, leveraging data analytics to identify systemic bottlenecks and drive continuous process improvement
What you need to qualify
To qualify for a Regional Site Director, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing strategic oversight, executive leadership, and full supervisory authority for a designated portfolio, ensuring operational execution aligns with strategic directives. Resolving complex field-level disputes, supply chain disruptions, and inter-organizational challenges. Delivering comprehensive mentorship and advocacy for subordinate leadership, managing comprehensive human capital strategies to ensure the portfolio is resilient, properly staffed, and fully trained. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
