Major duties

You will serve as a recognized authority/advisor and/or senior manager to the Commander/Executive Director/Director/Program Manager.s. You will be an authority when making contractual decisions and procurement policies/procedures and recommendations You will analyze, evaluate, and review proposed and on-going procurement and cost and pricing data for highly complex multi-year acquisition of major systems. You will serve on a variety of high-level boards and committees including representation and/or liaison with Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Navy (DON), and Marine Corps (MC). You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, evaluate work performance of subordinates, give advice or instruct employees, and identify developmental and training needs.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Expert or Mastery level knowledge of Federal Government, Department of Defense, Navy and agency-specific guidelines and business practices, including statues, regulations, polices, and procedures that cover the various contract types; Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate contractual and procurement policy actions involved in supporting sophisticated and technologically advanced systems acquisition programs; Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in order to conduct presentations and briefings at command levels; and Ability to effectively manage and supervise a staff of professional, technical and/or administrative employees.
