This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, Position Description Number NGD2169P01 and is part of the 114 LRS. This is a Title 32, Dual Status position. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: -Members of the South Dakota Air National Guard.
Major duties
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICER, GS-0346-12, you will: This position is located in the Logistics Readiness Squadron/Flight, Mission Support Group at an Air National Guard Wing. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Operations Officer of the Logistics Readiness Squadron/Flight. Functions as the technical advisor as well as the supervisor of logistics readiness operations including but not limited to: readiness; logistics planning; resource management; supply and transportation support; procedures and systems; etc. Provides training to unit members in the accomplishment of the tasks of the squadron/flight/mission.
What you need to qualify
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: This position is open to commissioned officers 2d Lt to Maj or members able to commission into the South Dakota Air National Guard. Required AFSC: 21RX. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum Requirements: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least next lower grade level. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. Knowledge of base logistics functions to include Operations Compliance, Cargo Movement, Air Transportation, Logistics Plans, Vehicle Maintenance and Management, Ground Transportation, Fuels Management and Material Management. Knowledge of regulations and directives regarding all classes of supply and multiple logistics services. Skill to lead, direct and assign work of personnel. Knowledge of the units' resources, manpower, equipment accountability, and internal controls.
