About the Position: Serves as IT Specialist in the CM Corporate Information Office at the Detroit Arsenal, Warren Michigan.

Major duties

Coordinates the analysis, design, development and maintenance of processes and IT systems which support the organic industrial base (OIB) of the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC). Analyzes customer requirements by interview and on-site meetings using six sigma and other analytical techniques. Uses analysis techniques to develop system design packages to include a proposed technical approach, best business practice evaluation, and market survey of commercial products where appropriate. Completes or oversees the completion of all aspects of assigned projects. Serves as project lead with responsibility for one or more systems or program application. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with DOD and commercial entities that establish standards and business practices related to TACOM LCMC mission.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Familiarity with computer networking including experience delivering network infrastructure and connectivity projects; 2) Supporting Operational Technology (OT) used to monitor and control physical processes such as those found on manufacturing lines; 3) Managing and delivering technical projects end-to-end. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). In addition to the specialized experience listed above, this position also has an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) which also must be met. Your experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the nine competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. (7) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. (8) Teamwork - Encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, and group identity; fosters commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve goals. (9) Technical Competence - Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues.
