What you'd do

You will serve as a TRAINING AND CURRICULUM SPECIALIST in the MARINE & FAMILY SERVICES DIVISION of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.

Major duties

You will develop and implement training for child development center staff to enable them to render safe and developmentally appropriate care for children. You will maintain training records and prepare reports and recommendations for the supervisor. You will facilitate the timely completion of weekly activity plans, and review and approve program activity plans prepared by program assistants. You will ensure Creative Curriculum is implemented and followed including weekly observations, quarterly child profiles, and formal parent/teacher conferences. You will requisition equipment and materials required to complete training and classroom activities.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and implementing training for child development center staff; maintaining training records, preparing reports, and making recommendations to supervisor on necessary classroom needs; and developing operational policies and procedures based on directives from higher headquarters.
