Major duties

You will direct in-house teams, design agencies, and/or contractors responsible for studies; design of projects through concept development; preparation for both final "design bid build" and "design build" construction bid documents. You will provide electrical engineering expertise and broad technical authority over the direction of the day-to-day development of large and/or politically sensitive multi-million dollar projects. You will develop or conduct development of complete working drawing and specifications for "design bid build" projects and development of request for proposal for "design build" projects. You will be responsible for providing expert electrical engineering design technical advice on complex projects to construction management engineers and contracting officers to ensure the successful management of any post-award aspect of construction You will perform and/or monitor the review of contractor submittals including shop drawings, catalog data, brochures, and samples. You will provide technical management advice to construction engineers regarding completion all actions necessary to insure completion of facility to the satisfaction of the contract and the customer.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical direction and advice in the specialty field of electrical engineering as it relates to design of various structures and facilities, power distribution systems and substations, proposed or approved for design and construction.
