Maintenance Worker
What you'd do
If selected, you will be responsible for performing a variety of preventative and repair work to assigned facilities and equipment. 5 vacancies are available for Edinburg, TX. 2 vacancies can be filled in either Rock Tavern, NY or Miami, FL.
Major duties
The duties may include, but are not limited to: Install, preventively maintain, and repair industrial equipment. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the water supply system. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the Laboratory's air conditioning and ventilation systems, steam generation and sterilization system, and wastewater sterilization system. Performs preventive maintenance of buildings, which includes carpentry, painting, flushing sewer lines, roof repair, maintenance of electrical and system controls. Recognizes the need for periodic repairs, estimates materials required to make repairs, and helps plan and implement an ongoing program of modifications and alterations to accommodate changing needs and regulations. Assists in the ordering and purchasing of supplies and materials needed for repairs.

To qualify, you must show that you have had training and experience of sufficient scope and quality to provide you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
