What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION of NAS KEY WEST.

Major duties

You will provide proactive leadership and management with responsibility and accountability for the maintenance and repair of real property for the Naval Air Station and tenant commands. You will implement procedures, policies, and other directives affecting subordinate employees, and maintain a working knowledge of Navy EEO, affirmative action and OSH programs. You will plan work schedules according to priorities set by Emergency, Urgent, Routine, and PM program, and manage budget requirements to support the Facilities Sustainment Program. You will maintain an understanding of equipment and facility requirements – including a broad and comprehensive knowledge of maintenance management, to include long- and short-range planning.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using knowledge of industrial engineering principles and practices to provide a wide range of engineering , electrical, civil, structural and mechanical functions dealing with the maintenance, repair, and construction of real property facilities; 2) Developing plans for construction, renovation and improvements of real property facilities for major installations and complexes at diverse locations; 3) Exercising knowledge of facility operations, utilities, communication systems and maintenance requirements ; 4) Providing facility data and planning work essential for obtaining funding for facility construction and repair projects.
