SUPV ENVIROMENTAL ENGINEER/SUPV NATURAL RESOURCES SPECIALIST/SUPV PHYSICAL SCIENTIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Installation Environmental Program Director (IEPD) in the ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION of NSA ANNAPOLIS.
Major duties
You will assign work to members based on priorities, consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments, and capabilities. You will develop and present recommendations on environmental issues, such as Environmental Business Line administrative matters, environmental budgets, higher level environmental programs policy, and various region-wide responsibilities. You will provide advice, counsel, or provide guidance to employees on both work and administrative matters. You will report to the Public Works Officer regarding assignments, program objectives and customer requirements.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Overseeing the environmental compliance and conservation program for an organization; 2) Practical knowledge of environmental management methods, techniques and equipment to oversee a broad compliance program covering various environmental media; 3) Interface directly with senior leadership to resolve complex, controversial, or politically sensitive environmental issues and have experience representing an organization in negotiations with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and presenting official positions at public hearings or meetings; and 4) Experience managing hazardous waste handling, emergency spill response, and associated environmental service operations, with a strong working knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), specifically in executing Categorical Exclusions and coordinating Environmental Assessments or Environmental Impact Statements.
