Major duties

You will operate a Wastewater Treatment Plant which provides the full range of treatment, including that required for meeting National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit conditions. You will operate comminutor or barminutor, grit removal system, splitter boxes, valves, pumps, collector systems, and primary settling tanks to move sewage and sludge through the pretreatment and primary treatment stages. You will perform tertiary operation functions, utilizing equipment such as chemical mixing tanks: chemical feed pumps, flocculation tanks with flocculation tanks with flocculators. You will perform operator maintenance on all equipment utilized by oiling, greasing, and replacing parts You will monitor collection system information via telemetry system and reacts to incoming alarms or notifications.

Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to perform common tasks including performing basic microbiological tests on outgoing water samples to verify the elimination of the treated microorganisms AND measuring and introducing chemicals and compounds into water system.
