What you'd do
Serves as a Lifeguard Trainee in the Aquatics Dept. of the Hale Koa Hotel.The first cut-off date will be on 7/14/26. Additional lists will be pulled after this first cut-off date at the request of the hiring manager.Local candidates will be reviewed first as PCS is not authorized. If determined that area of consideration is to be expanded, all candidates will be considered.
Major duties
This is a training position for a certified Lifeguard. Those hired for this position will be required to complete the lifeguard training to include the acquisition of all certifications (listed below) within 30 days of employment. Those who fail to do so will be released from employment.Lifeguarding certifications include:- Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS); American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED); First Aid.Upon completion of mandatory certifications, the incumbent will be noncompetitively reassigned to Recreation Aid (Lifeguard), responsible for lifeguarding guest in attendance at an assigned aquatic facility.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Must be able to swim. 2. Must be able to participate in the lifeguard certifications.
