Major duties

You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant (OA) in the Training Division, Headquarters Support Department, Naval Network Warfare Command (NAVNETWARCOM) located in Suffolk, VA. You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical and administrative functions associated with the training program at NAVNETWARCOM for civilian, military and contractor personnel. You will provide administrative support to the Training Division and Training Officer per applicable regulations, policies and directives, to ensure oversight and management of command training program. You will manage the mandatory training requirements, to include creating and maintaining trainings in Total Workforce Management Services and ensure compliance with all regulations. You will establish, update, and maintain records to ensure training is documented in the electronic training records or appropriate data systems. You will assist the Training Officer by coordinating, processing and purchasing as the Government Purchase Cardholder in accordance with regulation and policies to provide mission-related and professional development training to command members. You will follow procedures, policies and regulations to use the authorized Government Purchase card for training purchases. You will be responsible for filing and record management of associated purchase documents, such as purchase card log, price quotes, invoices, receipts, SF182s, and certificates. You will conduct credit card reconciliation monthly and file paperwork in accordance with regulations. You will provide assistance relating to training eligibility, tuition cost, funding sources, forms and procedures to follow.

What you need to qualify

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience operating automated information programs, equipment, computer systems. -Experience preparing, reviewing and verifying documents, compiling data for reports and correcting discrepancies. -Experience providing information, developing rapport with customers and resolving customer inquiries via oral and written means. -Experience using various software programs such as word, spreadsheets, database applications, SharePoint and the Internet.
