Marketing Assistant
What you'd do
This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located at NAF Marketing on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas.This position is considered Regular Part-Time (RPT). You are guaranteed 20 hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours/week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. As a RPT employee, you are eligible to earn annual/sick leave and sign up for benefits, to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement.
Major duties
Assists the Marketing Director and Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising Coordinator. Assists in developing outreach materials used to solicit sponsorship and advertising from local, regional, national, and international parties. Assists in executing all supporting documents in coordination with approving authorities to ensure agreements follow procedural regulations and policies. Collects and tracks payments of sponsorship and advertising agreements to ensure proper accountability and all agreement terms are met. Attends FSS events to provide event sponsor support and photographic support. Assists in compiling and providing sponsors with copies of subsequent publicity and develops after action reports. Present marketing briefings as needed to base functions such as new student indoctrinations and base newcomers' orientation. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience that shows progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical or other work which has provided a proficient knowledge of marketing/commercial sponsorship and advertising principles and practices. Experience designing advertising artwork using desktop publishing software, word processing and other software is preferred. Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. Must possess experience in dealing with the public and conducting oral presentations. Knowledge of computer operating systems (Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite) and the ability to run color copy machines and laser printers. Experience using laminating, cutting and folding machines is a plus. Conditions Of Employment: Employee must have a valid driver's license. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Successful completion of a Tier 1 background investigation is required.
