Logistics Management Specialist
What you'd do
You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE in the PEO(T) & JSF PSE Division on either the F/A-18 Support Equipment IPT or the E-2 Support Equipment IPT, BL23200 or BL23500, respectively.
Major duties
You will advise on product and logistics matters, business planning, metrics management, and all other aspects of logistics management within the area of responsibility. You will conduct studies to analyze procedures and recommend improvements in efficiency and effectiveness. You will apply logistics management skills and knowledge. and act as an advisor on matters relating to logistic support. You will monitor all responses related to the logistical and technical support problems affecting project/program plans, budgeting, funding, execution, supply, maintenance concepts, engineering, technical data, support equipment and procurement.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Leading the planning, coordination, direction, evaluation and implementation of life-cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem; 2) Interpreting laws, regulations and policies to provide expert guidance related to the acquisition and sustainment of logistics products; 3) Tracking and analyzing data to detect trends and/or causes for declining performance; 4) Developing and implementing corrective actions, program enhancements, new processes and policy changes to resolve logistics issues; 5) Coordinating and reviewing the work of other personnel assigned to team, project, or program, 6) Identifying specific requirements (such as funding, manpower, material, facilities, and/or services) needed to provide required support in accordance with program goals for cost, schedule and performance.
