EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Equipment Specialist of MARCORSYSCOM.
Major duties
You will manage complex equipment systems and subsystems by providing technical guidance for operations, maintenance, and support while evaluating capabilities, recommending practical design improvements, and resolving difficult equipment issues. You will plan and coordinate maintenance and supply support activities by applying specialized knowledge to evaluate requirements, adapt procedures, prepare funding documentation for repair parts, and support equipment throughout its service life. You will serve as the primary technical resource for equipment by assisting operators and maintainers, answering questions on supply support and maintenance practices, and ensuring reliable performance through accurate technical guidance. You will define initial support requirements, validate technical publications, and coordinate provisioning data for automated systems while working with logistics organizations to ensure accurate equipment support. You will support program logistics by preparing documentation, updating equipment records, integrating provisioning data into automated systems, and improving maintenance planning and equipment readiness.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Knowledge of the maintenance Planning and Supply Elements of LCL, as well as the sustainment activities. 2. Ability to effectively use automated data systems to perform analyses and prepare documentation. 3. Ability to lead and participate on cross functional teams with members from different organizations and commands.
