Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist
What you'd do
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, Marketplace Plan Management Group, Division of Compliance, Oversight, and Monitoring. As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-15, you will be responsible for conducting policy analysis and program operations related to oversight of enrolling partners and stakeholders in the Federally-facilitated Exchanges (FFEs).
Major duties
Directs the development and maintenance of regulations and sub-regulatory guidance related to oversight of private health insurance. Directs the development of business processes and system requirements to support oversight of Exchange entities and/or stakeholders to ensure seamless system operations. Oversees the development of qualitative analyses and reports to support oversight of Exchange entities and/or stakeholders to inform program improvements and policy decisions that enhance consumer experience and strengthen operations. Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.

In order to qualify for the GS-15 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1. Developing and managing operations to ensure compliance with Affordable Care Act (ACA) provisions related to private health insurance; and 2. Planning, organizing, or assessing the work activities of employees; and 3. Directing the development and maintenance of regulations or sub-regulatory guidance related to oversight of Exchange entities or stakeholders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
