Major duties
You will serve as the Supervisor of the Working Dog/Military Working Dog section responsible for planning, directing, training and managing the operation. You will train and lead explosive detector dog handlers in Bomb Threat clearing operations. You will develop, schedule, coordinate, maintain, and lead the Working Dog/Military Working Dog training program. You will perform law enforcement activities such as assisting in the investigation of crimes, responding to emergency calls, issuing citations, testifying in court proceedings and conducting vehicle and foot patrols.

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, directing, training, and managing police officer and Working Dog Handler operations; establishing Working Dog training, procedures, maintenance, and grooming standards to ensure proper Working Dog care and Kennel Facility upkeep; and performing inspection and investigating work to effect compliance of individuals with laws, rules, and regulations in the protection of life, property, and the civil rights of citizens.
