What you'd do

You will serve as the COMPETENCY BRANCH HEAD and FIRST-LINE SUPERVISOR in the DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION DIVISION, CLOUD SERVICES and CYBERSECURITY BRANCH of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Major duties

You will assign work based on priorities and considering the difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of employees. You will evaluate work performance, provide advice, counsel, and instruction on both work-related and administrative matters. You will interview candidates for positions within the unit and recommend appointments, promotions, or reassignments. You will resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher-level supervisor or manager. You will identify developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for the necessary development and training to ensure a high level of competency and to foster career growth. You will find ways to improve the quality of the work directed and develop and maintain performance standards for the branch. You will develop and monitor technical and personnel metrics for the branch. You will work with Product Owners to ensure the health of core capabilities that impact the branch's assigned output area.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing technical projects, digital workflows, or modern operational environments; leading a team, distributing workload, and developing talent in a collaborative or matrixed environment; applying Department of War (DoW)/Department of Navy (DON) program execution, including product delivery, resource allocation, and technical competency support.
