Major duties
You will develop new or improved financial or operation programs, policies and/or procedures and make recommendations concerning the establishment or revision of financial management procedures. You will provide oversight of the command's Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP), gather and analyze data, and brief the Commander on the annual MICP Certification Statement. You will oversee the preparations of all cash verification and bank reconciliation reports and brief the results to department heads. You will develop detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation and administration of programs, develop criteria for evaluating program effectiveness and oversee the preparation of all formal reports. You will assist in audit engagements, oversee the gathering of required supporting documentation, conduct audit tracking and follow-up to ensure all audit findings are appropriately implemented and/or corrected.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing cash verification and bank reconciliations; utilizing an accounting system to standardize accounting, budgeting, and reporting procedures; preparing audit sample packages; AND applying financial management concepts, directives, guidance, policy, and procedures.
