SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT COMMUNITY of COMNAVREG SE JAX.
Major duties
You will analyze financial management control procedures to implement process improvements for operational effectiveness. You will prepare employee performance appraisals to deliver performance reviews to employees. You will review data to verify the accuracy of operational and financial performance metrics. You will distribute financial management policies within an organization. You will evaluate program plans and budget issues. You will provide advice on effective methods for use of funds to support organizational plans. You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating, reviewing, and defending budget and cost estimates to support organizational plans; 2) Executing control and reporting over obligations and expenditures; 3) Developing or interpreting budgetary policies and regulatory controls; 4) Conducting cost-benefit analyses of financial management methods; 5) Advising leadership on fund acquisition and utilization; 6) Implementing strategies to improve production quality and efficiency. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
