What you'd do
This position is located at: The Forge Bar and Grill - Fort Polk, Louisiana. The Forge Bar and Grill at Fort Polk offers a casual dining spot serving burgers, sandwiches, and drinks in a relaxed, community-friendly setting. Located at 1321 Corps Road, it's known for solid service, affordable prices, and a comfortable atmosphere for Soldiers, families, and visitors. This is an open continuous announcement. All qualified applicants will be forwarded to management on a weekly or as needed basis.
Major duties
Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc. Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited to preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas. Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Prepares/slices lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and other vegetables for sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned to include: walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas of other work areas as well. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. 2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision. 3. Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order. 4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques. 5. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. 6. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles. 7. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. Note: Prior work experience must be reflected in your resume.
