THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an HR SPEC (MILITARY), Position Description Number PDD2009000 and is part of the WY Deputy Chief of Staff Personnel, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Major duties

The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise and guidance for all military personnel assigned in the Wyoming Army National Guard and the functions of the Retirement Services Office. 1. Interprets policy and provides procedural guidance to commanders, supervisors, staff members and individual military members. Provides training to supervisors and guidance and assistance to military members. 2. Reviews, evaluates, and interprets regulatory guidance, policies, and procedures applicable to military personnel programs and provides guidance to all users. 3. Conducts periodic briefings for staff, commanders, and administrative personnel to promote full understanding of all aspects of the assigned program. 4. Accomplishes and oversees the technical support work in the program area assigned with the assistance of subordinate employees which may be Active Guard Reserve (AGR), full-time Technician, or civilian. ** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. **

Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Para/Line: 1311/900 Selecting Official: MAJ Luke Meyer AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Primary consideration will be made from Areas 1, 2 and 4. If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible). Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the DCSPER. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming National Guard. Area 4: All current Drill Status Airmen and M-day soldiers of the Wyoming National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves or other states' Army National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. MILITARY GRADE: Min: E-3/PFC Max: E-6/SSG DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work performed is in administrative positions that manage, supervise, administer, advise on, or deliver human resources management products or services. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position with experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience to perform the duties of the position. The applicant's educational-degree study program or military or civilian academic courses may be substituted for some specialized experience. Must be able to demonstrate the specialized experience competencies (skills, knowledge, abilities and behaviors) that encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with the Department of War, National Guard Bureau, and U.S. Army. NOTE: Education and/or Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from MM/YYYY - MM/YYYY (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.
