What you'd do

About the Position: This position is located in Honolulu, HI at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Department of Behavioral Health. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Major duties

Perform biopsychosocial evaluations and mental health diagnoses. Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive and motivational approaches. Conduct group psychotherapy. Coordinate care with the Department of Mental Health. Provide preventive care and healthy lifestyle interventions. Mitigate high-risk factors to support suicide prevention and trauma-informed care. Conduct warm handoffs when immediate transitions of care to behavioral health are necessary, and review appointment lists to increase clinical productivity. Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient care in the electronic health record in accordance with federal, DoD, DHA, and hospital regulations. Monitor objective behavioral outcome measures and review statistical data to modify program goals.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Successful completion of a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service which includes performing behavioral health assessments and/or psychological testing, developing behavioral health treatment plans and/or recommendations, and providing treatment to behavioral health patients. License: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
