What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST at NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Major duties

You will perform in depth analysis and advise on work in any phase or systems budget administration such as formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will present and defend budget estimates, review and evaluate budget requests, control and report of obligation and expenditures before authorities. You will develop and determine and interpret budgetary policies and practices. Assign work to subordinates and develop performance standards to evaluate employee performance. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternate methods of financial management programs.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Advising on budget, accounting, or financial management policy and procedures within an organization; 2) Leading and/or mentoring a team in all facets of financial program management and execution; 3) Coordinating the development and reporting of cost/performance information in support of mission tasks for an organization; 4) Implementing approved financial management policies with the organization based on existing policy and develops/issues implementing procedures; 5) Interprets, assesses, and projects potential impact of new/revised Congressional legislation.
