Major duties
Develops strategic and long-range planning and programming for the proponent’s DOTLMPF-P responsibilities. Directs proponent initiatives and integration. Leads and is responsible to the Director for the determination of requirements and development of future force capabilities. Provides leadership, professional guidance, decisions, advice, and assistance on all matters pertaining to the Branch and to civilian personnel management. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience Developing strategic and long-range planning and programming for the Special Forces (SF) proponent's Doctrinal, Organizational, Training, Material, Leader Development, Personnel and Facilities (DOTLMPF-P) responsibilities. Providing guidance and direction on training, doctrine, proponent requirements and systems, capabilities, and force structure. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -- no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Customer Service Decisiveness Flexibility Interpersonal Skills Problem Solving Resilience Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
