What you'd do
This position serves as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN), located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Service Delivery Staff, Administration, End-User Support Services Directorate in Washington, DC. The incumbent is responsible for planning and administering the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise hardware and software systems, ensuring availability, reliability, and interoperability
Major duties
The duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Manages the full lifecycle of assigned IT assets and utilizes automated property management systems, including ServiceNow, to record and track asset acquisition details. Analyzes system interfaces to resolve integration issues. Conducts routine audits to reconcile physical and electronic records. Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, security evaluations, and/or audits to identify impacts with asset accountability.
What you need to qualify
To qualify for the position of IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN), at GS-2210-14, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications (2210 series): Please refer to the OPM IT Management Series 2210 Qualification Standard for the specific experience requirements for the GS-12 and above positions. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable non-Federal experience. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following duties: Manages the full lifecycle of assigned IT assets and utilizes automated property management systems, including ServiceNow, to record and track asset acquisition details. Conducts inventories and routine audits to reconcile physical and electronic records. AND Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, security evaluations, and/or audits to identify impacts with asset accountability.
