About the Position: This Electronics Technician position is with the Tobyhanna Army Depot Directorate of Engineering and Cyber SATCOM and Site Installation Division.

Major duties

Serve as project lead and is the technical authority on one or more complex Satellite Communication systems. Provide technical guidance to the customer and management for new systems design, development, fabrication, Technical Data Packages (TDP) and is the point of contact for TDP development and issues. Review all Project Management (PM) requirements for technical guidance to assure the PMs system requirements will be met. Perform engineering analysis to verify design concepts, system integrity and safety. Provide managerial leadership, guidance, and work directly with engineering shops, Sustainment Training Team, Student Instruct and Production Management. Make sound administrative and technical decisions requiring an extensive background in various electronics fields.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Overseeing testing, installing, of electronic communications systems; AND 2) Providing technical guidance on electronic theory and techniques; AND 3) Leading team members to achieve specific tasks, program and/or production goals. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
