About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Carolina Lakes Golf Course. Performs over-the-counter selling of a variety of golf related merchandise.
Major duties
Performs over-the-counter selling of a variety of golf related merchandise. Answers customer questions, and provides product knowledge to customers. Assists with inventories, replenishes stock. Reforms housekeeping duties in sales and storage areas. Rotates and moves pro shop displays to enhance sales. Performs other related duties as assigned. Handles customer transactions through operation of pro shop POS and tee time system. Responsible for ringing in sales, cash handling and the completion of daily paperwork involving sales transactions. Coordinating daily operations involving cart sign out, club rentals, tee times, order of play, telephone inquiries, event sign-up sheets and customer follow-up. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have responsible experience in clerical, office, cash handling or retail sales store work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Experience must demonstrate knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a cash register. Must be able to read, speak, and write English. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
