Recreation Aide (Golf Sales)
What you'd do
This position is located in the Windy Harbor Golf Course, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Station Mayport, Florida.
Major duties

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Maintains records of members monthly payments and expiration dates. Prepares daily reports and turns in with receipts in accordance with established procedures. Records members golf scores for input to computer. Assigns golf carts, tee times and rental equipment and records starting times for play on weekends and holidays.Maintains shop in neat, clean and attractive manner to promote sales. Assist customers on selections of merchandise. Prepares special orders and layaway purchases. Recommends removal of slow moving goods or order of frequently requested items. Advises Manager when items require re-order. Answers patrons questions concerning hours of operation, prices, lessons, upcoming events, complaints and refers them to the manager. Ensures use of facility by authorized patrons and enforces proper dress codes. Assists Manager in the promotion of golf course and other Department activities.Maintains shop in clean, neat manner by dusting, vacuuming of floors, emptying waste cans at end of shift. May assist in periodic inventories and maintenance of various records and preparation of reports. May be required to open and secure the Pro Shop. May assist other Department facilities during specific events or when required.
