INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (ENTARCH)
What you'd do
You will serve as an Architecture Specialist at the GG-13 grade level in the Hopper Global Communications Center (GCC), N6 CyberSecurity Department primarily responsible for work that involves the analysis, planning, design, implementation, documentation, assessment, and management of the enterprise structural framework to align information technology (IT) strategy, plans, and systems with the mission, goals, structure, and processes of the organization.
Major duties
You will brief senior leadership on complex transformation engineering plans, presenting clear return on investment (ROI) and mission-readiness metrics. You will cultivate strategic partnerships across intelligence agencies, Department of War (DoW) commands, and contractor facilities to synchronize information technology (IT) efforts. You will design and manage the enterprise framework using Department of War (DoW) Architecture Framework and modern modeling methodologies. You will serve as a critical member of the Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF), directly enabling authorizations to operate (ATOs) on classified networks.

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: Develops and maintains reference models within the information technology (IT) repository to map business units and key operational processes. Conducts gap analyses between current and target architectures, designing actionable transition roadmaps. Engineers detailed network and accreditation diagrams detailing hardware, software, ports, protocols, and services. Enforces rigorous compliance with Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity policies across all architectural layers. Establishes and promulgates information technology (IT) standards for both in-house development and contracted initiatives. Drives enterprise-wide technical integration by leading collaborative test planning, validation efforts, and peer reviews. Researches, prototypes, and tests emerging technology solutions to optimize information technology (IT) investments. Leads architectural governance and information technology (IT) portfolio management activities to ensure strict alignment with the target architecture. Evaluates the strategic impact of enterprise architecture products on business operations and stakeholder satisfaction.
