What you'd do

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL) in the BUSINESS OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of MY NAVY CAREER CENTER.

Major duties

You will review and evaluate applicant documents to ensure they meet regulatory eligibility and compliance requirements. You will enter and maintain candidate and program-related data in the appropriate tracking systems accurately. You will advise sponsors and applicants on eligibility expirations, general entitlements, and benefit requirements. You will communicate directly with activities, agencies, and representatives to resolve staffing and benefit issues. You will research and prepare formal responses to official, agency, and congressional inquiries regarding program status. You will assist in the complete processing of specialized applications, verifying requirements under Title 10 U.S.C. You will resolve data discrepancies within tracking systems and coordinate corrective actions with key stakeholders. You will audit and maintain case files to ensure they contain sufficient documentation for verification and approval.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. This specialized experience must demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of a Human Resources Assistant (Military) and should include the following: 1) Benefits and Eligibility Determination: Experience applying laws, regulations, and policies to determine eligibility for military or federal benefits, such as those related to identification cards, medical care, or family support programs which includes reviewing and analyzing documents (e.g., marriage certificates, birth records, court orders) to verify dependency status and entitlement to benefits under programs like the Incapacitated Family Benefits Programs (INCAP) or Former Spouse Benefits Program (FSBP).
