What you'd do

You will serve as a Supervisory Training Specialist in the Production Resources Department (900), Production Workforce Development and Resource Manager (900B), Consolidated Training Division (900T), Nuclear Training Branch (900T.4) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Major duties

You will plan work assignments to training instructors/specialists and other training personnel. You will research, develop and approve training courses. You will direct the nuclear and refueling training needs for the shop. You will coordinate the training schedule and allocation of required facilities and equipment. You will direct studies, surveys, drills and internal audits to ensure shipyard requirements are met. You will review budget requests and review reports to track expenditures to ensure proper utilization of training funds.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with comprehensive practical knowledge of education and training principles, techniques, and practices. Experience utilizing detailed knowledge of the established work processes and procedures of the various production trades. Experience with organizational directives of the shipyard. Experience with the principles, theories, techniques, and methodologies of nuclear propulsion plant processes.
