What you'd do

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL AIR STATION.

Major duties

You will analyze budget, staffing resources, and organization structure to determine the most efficient procedure for integrating these resources. You will assess requests for manpower or resources to determine the most efficient allocation. You will discuss contract procurement procedures or processes to facilitate timely program operations. You will perform process mapping using cost baseline tools to identify opportunities to increase efficiency or reduce costs.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Presenting and justifying a budget, budget adjustments, reprogramming, and resolution of budget problems to Public Works Department (PWD) leadership and Business Line and Product Line coordinators; 2) Identifying, analyzing, and/or resolving a range of budgetary problems, including developing alternative methods of funding and substantial programming; 3) Using MS Products and other automated data software to create correspondence, charts, spreadsheets and related documentation in the performance of duties as a program analyst; 5) Reading and interpreting regulations, rules and guidance as they apply to management and use of government funds.
