What you'd do

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Office of the Chief Operating Officer. Serves as the principal technical advisor to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).

Major duties

As a Senior Advisor, you will: - Serve as the principal technical advisor to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). - Conduct highly advanced analyses and assessments of program outcomes, internal processes, and performance tracking systems. - Lead executive-level special teams and national task forces appointed by the COO to integrate key transformational initiatives into operational practice. - Serve as the COO's primary technical liaison to coordinate, evaluate, and dictate strategic, data-driven responses to high-level evaluation reports from OMB, GAO, EEOC, and Congress.

All applicants must clearly demonstrate in their two-page resume, experience and accomplishments related to the TQs below: TQ 1: Demonstrated expertise and recognized authority in the interpretation, formulation, and strategic application of complex access laws and policies related to Presidential and Federal records. TQ 2: Demonstrated experience in forging strategic partnerships and negotiating with high-level stakeholders (e.g., Congress, White House officials, interagency task forces, and external partners) to resolve complex policy conflicts, drive enterprise-wide compliance, and advance NARA's mission and Executive Orders.
