About the Position: This position falls under the Directorate Logistics Division - Americas Region office located in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Major duties
Coordinate global logistics support through eight subordinate District Logistics Chiefs for eight Districts Superintendents and 172 schools to ensure success of global commute, meal and supply programs. Conduct in-depth analyses to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics programs in accordance with local laws and regulations. Develop and review proposed policy to ensure it appropriately supports DoDEA educational programs. Present reports to justify the financial resources needed for the Logistics Division Programs. Provide expert interpretation and recommendation on financial matters, policies and regulations concerning Logistical Division Programs. Perform a full range of first level Supervisory duties to include: assigning work, providing technical advice, evaluating work, interviewing candidates, and resolving complex personnel issues.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: coordinating various logistical programs to ensure property accountability, outfitting or material management; conducting logistical research to ensure effectiveness of logistical programs; interpreting logistics policies to implement strategic plans to improve future logistics management processes; collaborating with stakeholders to prepare fiscal budgets to account for projected program goals; managing long-range construction plans to provide project guidance and or resources; and performing a full range of first-level supervisory responsibilities, such as; assigning work to subordinates, evaluating work performance, interviewing candidates for positions or identifying the training needs of employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
