Major duties
Utilize service contracts to effectively control and manage the financial expenditure associated with personnel resources. Formulate the departmental budget and manage related expenditures to ensure alignment with financial objectives. Ensure availability of health services in support of care requirements are optimized by the utilization of all medical, nursing, and community resources. Monitor contract performance to ensure contract health care workers are of the required skill levels. Review contracting, purchasing, and acquisition actions to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, as well as agency instructions and directives.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) overseeing contract compliance, 2) supporting budget formulation for healthcare resources such as personnel, equipment, or contracts, and 3) leveraging administrative information systems to track manpower and hiring actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
