About the Position: This position is located at DIR of Admin, 15th Medical Group JBHP-Hickam, Hawaii. Advance in Hire may be authorized. This is available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced Leave Accrual may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major duties

Perform a variety of administrative support duties, such as composing complex correspondence, locating and assembling information for various reports, briefings and conferences. Ensure files include all required documents and that all documents are property signed and maintain. Ensure spelling and grammatical errors are corrected on reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines. Schedule appointment and arranges for time, participants, and location of meeting in accordance with instructions from the supervisor. Take and prepare minutes for the directorate and other committees as assigned. Redesign forms to conform to necessary changes and guidance by higher authority. Reconcile data from various programs against prescribed standards and notes discrepancies.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing office automation software to create or retrieve data, compiling data or information in order to create reports or correspondence, and/or maintaining organizational files or records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resource Management, or Business Management or Health Care Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
