What you'd do

You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the University Business Affairs, Code 024 of OFFICE OF NAVAL RESEARCH.

Major duties

You will manage the audit resolution process for Contract and Single Audit on behalf of ONR to ensure the timely and appropriate resolution and disposition of audit report findings. You will search the Federal Audit Clearinghouse (FAC) to identify single audit findings for which ONR is responsible for resolving, enter the data for those findings, and assign those findings in Azure. You will act as ONR's designated Contract Audit Follow-up focal point for reporting and tracking reportable audits. You will select Regional Office Files for monthly reviews, conduct reviews using the ONR File Review App, and ensure file owners respond promptly to findings in the app. You will complete reviews in the File Review App including assigning a rating and providing data to Code 24 supervisors and management for performance evaluations. You will participate in business process improvement projects affecting Code 24 when requested.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (NO-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must be demonstrated in the following: 1) Performing audit resolution as contracting or grants officer; 2) Performing the full range of grant and contract administration functions (e.g., closeout, voucher reviews, financial report reviews, property administration, executing modifications); 3) Performing award file reviews; and 4) Supporting business process improvement or internal guidance.
