CONTACT REPRESENTATIVE
What you'd do
You will serve as a CONTACT REPRESENTATIVE in the Patient Administration Department of NMRTC CAMP LEJEUNE NC.
Major duties
You will provide administrative support services to service members undergoing processing through the MEB and the entire DES. You will explain significance of completion of forms (intake form, physical form) to ensure all conditions are assessed accurately during the MEB process. You will gather required documentation from physicians, member, and parent command to ensure all abnormal conditions are assessed and coordinates consultation to specialty clinics if necessary. You will ensure that each case is procedurally correct, complete, consistent, compliant, and authentic. You will complete record after patient has met the medical board, typed additional entries/forms, and obtained necessary signatures. You will perform a variety of technical and organizational duties, mainly in the area of work measurement, forecasting, and scheduling. You will design and/or adapt forms and reports. You will coordinate appointments needed and verify patient information and assure necessary forms are required are contained in patient's record.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing administrative support services to service members processing through the Medical Evaluation Board (MEB), and the entire Disability Evaluation System (DES). Assist the Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO), Medical Evaluation Board Approving Authority (MEBAA) and other pertinent team members regarding the MEB process. Experience maintaining comprehensive expert levels of knowledge through review and study of pertinent directives and issuances pertaining to the disability processing in order to provide explanation and interpretation of regulations as directed by Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV), Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), Chief, Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and local instructions. Experience executing initial screening of active-duty service members at onset of MEB recommendation to collect, record and verify information and briefly explain the DES process regarding the applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and requirements of the MEB. Experience gathering required documentation from physicians, members, and parent command to ensure all abnormal conditions are assessed and coordinates consultation to specialty clinics if necessary. And experience utilizing the DES database, Joint Longitudinal Viewer (JLV) and the Bureau of Medicine (BUMED) mandated Sailor Marine Readiness Tracking System (SMART) site to collect information on all personnel referred to a medical board.
