Major duties

You will perform financial management duties and analysis functions such as budget planning, formulation, execution tracking, and forecasting. You will prepare funding documents and support preparation of responses to necessary budget data calls, budget exhibits and responses to marks with reclamas as necessary for each submission. You will provide technical advice or guidance on business management processes to support the efficiency, effectiveness and operations of the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) business system program and other financial systems as applicable. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will conduct studies to identify ways to improve effectiveness of work methods, procedures, manpower utilization, work assignments, and management controls. You will exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short/long-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.

What you need to qualify

GS-12 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience forming analytical studies or evaluative methods of budgetary data to identify trends and propose solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of budget planning, formulation, or forecasting in support of program objectives. Experience generating analytical studies or evaluative methods, to include utilizing financial and other management systems (NERP, SLDCADA, DTS, etc.) to provide resolution of financial issues and budget performance for improved efficiency and accuracy of financial programs. Experience developing solutions using Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) software system including entering data, creating project structures, creating reports and /or analyzing system data to identify process improvements in support of command operations.
