Major duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Grants Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Providing oversight of grant activities to ensure compliance with federal regulations, program requirements, and agency policies. Analyzing financial and administrative documentation to support grant funding decisions and ensure recipient accountability throughout the grant lifecycle. Providing financial analysis and advisory support for complex grant actions, including budget reviews, award modifications, and recipient financial assessments.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year of specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Monitoring grant compliance and resolving grant administration issues using federal grants management regulations. Reviewing financial data, audit findings, and grant documentation to assess recipient capability and support funding recommendations. Evaluating grant budgets, analyzing financial performance data, and recommending actions related to federal grant awards and modifications. OR A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related; OR A combination of the required experience and education for this grade level. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
